If you tip back a few too many brews this weekend at a Super Bowl party, don’t get behind the wheel and drive drunk.
Instead, arrive alive with a designated driver or a free tow home starting at Friday, Feb. 3, through 6 a.m. Monday, Feb. 6, with the AAA’a Tow to Go program.
The nonprofit auto club will offer the public service over 10 holidays this year. It’sopen to to everyone, no membership required, but should only be used as a last resort. Free tows are offered based on availability of trucks and call volumes. Tow trucks can take up to two people home in a 10-mile radius.
Call 855-286-9246 and a tow truck will deliver you and your vehicle home safely, a no charge with no questions asked.
The free service, a partnership between AAA, Budweiser and the Auto Club Group Traffic Safety Foundation, is 100 percent confidential.
AAA has transported more than 24,000 intoxicated drivers since the program started in 1998, according to a release. Free towing coverage is offered in Florida, Georgia and Tennessee.
