Seven vehicles were burned beyond recognition near a car dealership in Weston in a suspected arson attack.
Broward Sheriff Fire Rescue and Davie Fire Rescue worked to douse the flames about 1 p.m. Friday in the 2300 block of Meridian Parkway. The vehicles belonged to the Weston Nissan/Volvo dealership but were parked off site, fire officials said.
“When firefighters arrived on the scene there were a total of seven vehicles burning,” said Battalion Chief Michael B. Kane, with Broward Sheriff Fire Rescue. “Firefighters used foam to extinguish the flames which took about 20 minutes.”
The flames gutted several sedans and SUVs.
The state fire marshal is investigating the cause of the fire. No injuries were reported.
