Hello! Adele to play two nights in Miami

The moody, massively popular music of Adele will fill Miami’s AmericanAirlines Arena for two nights, Oct. 25-26, on her first North American tour in five years.

Tickets go on sale 10 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 17, at the arena box office and all Ticketmaster outlets, including Ticketmaster.com and 800-745-3000. Prices are $36.95-$146.50.

The 27-year-old singer recently performed her first full concert in more than four years at Radio City Music Hall, a show recorded for a TV special titled “Adele Live in New York City,” airing at 10 Monday night on NBC.

Adele’s “25” is the largest-selling album of any calendar year since her previous album, “21,” sold 5.8 million copies in 2011. Her latest album has sold 5.1 million copies since its release three weeks ago. The last artist to sell 6 million albums in a calendar year was Usher in 2004.

Billboard’s most recent top 100 singles chart includes five Adele songs, led by “Hello” (No. 1) and “When We Were Young” (No. 22).

Not that we’re not special, but Miami is one of many markets on the tour to get multiple shows, including six nights at the Staples Center in Los Angeles and six nights at New York’s Madison Square Garden. Her upcoming tour dates in Europe are sold out.

The Miami concerts are the only Florida stops on Adele’s tour. More info: .
