The city of Miramar has opened a new COVID-19 free walk-up testing site to the public.
Open seven days a week, individuals can be tested regardless of symptoms at the Vernon E. Harry Youth Enrichment Center, 7000 Miramar Parkway.
From 9 a.m. until 2 p.m., the testing site will serve the first 200 individuals on a first-come, first-served basis with the exception of first responders and healthcare workers who are given priority access.
Tests will be administered using nasal swabs and will provide results in 48 to 72 hours. To receive testing, patients must bring a State of Florida approved photo ID with the individual’s current address.
Children under 18 will need to be accompanied by a parent or guardian with either a birth certificate or documentation of guardianship.
