A man was shot and killed by a security officer outside Goldfinger Gentlemen’s Club at about 4:15 a.m. Saturday, according to the
Sheriff’s Office.
The man was identified as Reicko R. Jones, 27, of Riviera Beach.
Two groups of men had been fighting inside the strip club, located in suburban Riviera Beach, and were removed by a staffer just before the shooting, the Sheriff’s Office said. Once outside the club, the victim pulled a handgun out of a nearby vehicle and began shooting at one of the groups.
The armed security officer warned the man, whose name was not released, to drop the gun several times before firing the single shot that struck and killed him, the Sheriff’s Office said.
The Sheriff’s Office is investigating the shooting.
The club has been the site of two other violent assaults in the last year. In May, a man was shot in the stomach inside one of the club’s bathroom stalls, but the shooter was never found. And in August of last year, a woman stabbed her husband in an argument over money just outside the club and was charged with aggravated assault.
