FIRST TEAM

Patrick “PJ” Anderson, RB, Cardinal Gibbons senior: Had fourth most rushing yards in a playoff game with 168; has most yards rushing in the past decade for the Chiefs; ran for 1,109 yards, added 44 receiving yards and 15 TDs; winning state title was career highlight; competes in track and field.

Cedrick Bailey, QB, Chaminade-Madonna senior: The N.C. State commit and team captain completed 215 of 301 passes (71 percent) for 3,125 yards and 47 TDs against six interceptions; 26 rushes for 253 yards, two TDs; had 322 yards passing and four TD throws, in addition to his TD catch all in the first half in the drubbing of Clearwater Central Catholic; school-record holder for passing yards.

Anthony Barbar, QB, Westminster Academy senior: Three-year captain was FACA player of the year; ranked in Top-5 quarterback in Florida; hold school career records for 29 wins in three seasons, 8,407 passing yards, 86 TDs); 221 of 311 for 3,568 passing yards, 40 TDs, owns all season records Westminster; said reaching the state final (Sunshine State Athletic Conference) for first time in 30 years was career highlight.

Zack Boehly, OL, Cardinal Gibbons senior: Three-year starter blocked for an offense that ran for 1,869 yards, passed for 3,029 yards, and scored 51 offensive touchdowns; Super 11 selection’s season highlight was being position captain for OL with three other senior OL starters on offense that produced almost 5,000 yards; East Carolina commit said career highlight was beating Cocoa for 2021 state title.

Davion Gause, RB, Chaminade-Madonna senior: The North Carolina commit and three-time All-American led the team in rushing with 87 carries for 1,047 yards, 14 TDs; scored twice in the 56-0 Class 1M state championship win over Clearwater Central Catholic, a third straight championship.

Colton Heinrich, TE, Cardinal Gibbons senior: Team captain and the University of Georgia commit finished the season with 31 catches, 399 yards, and three TDs; season highlight was game versus Hallandale with four catches for 107 yards and a score; plays basketball; career highlight winning back to back state championships with Chiefs.

Byron Louis, RB, American Heritage junior: Finished the season with 1,224 rushing yards, 33 reception yards; 1,257 all-purpose yards; season highlight was playoff win over Cardinal Gibbons where he ran for 230 yards and five TDs; most proud of the growth and development from start to the end of the season.

Yohan-li Louis, ATH, Calvary Christian Academy junior: Finished the season with 14 TDs, 876 yards rushing, 464 kickoff return yards; 166 yards receiving yards (1,509 all-purpose); added 50 kicking points and five tackles on kickoffs; runs track, plays soccer.

Malachi Toney, WR, American Heritage sophomore: Totaled 720 receiving yards, (15.6 average yards per catch), eight TDs; proud of getting offers to play in college; also plays basketball.

Joshisa Trader, WR, Chaminade-Madonna senior: The UM commit had 47 catches for 760 yards, 14 TDs, and was 2 for 2 for 50 yards and two TDs passing; had a highlight-reel TD catch and a TD pass in the 56-0 Class 1M state championship win over Clearwater Central Catholic.

Jimmy Williams III, OL, American Heritage senior: The Louisville commit was a solid blocker on the Heritage line, and he said he was most proud of being selected to the first team All-County.

DJ Wimbley, WR, Westminster Academy junior: Finished with 78 receptions for 1,504 yards and 14 TDs, which was among top 5 in Florida; also played on defense and had 40 tackles,14 TFL, 8.5 sacks, and a blocked kick; runs track and plays basketball.

COACH OF THE YEAR

Dameon Jones, Chaminade-Madonna: Led the No. 2 nationally ranked Lions to an undefeated season and a third straight state championship; it was Chaminade Madonna’s eighth consecutive appearance in the state championship game. The Lions have won five of the past six state titles in their class. The only loss during that span came against Trinity Christian in 2020. “All week, we planned to start fast with passes to (Jeremiah) Smith and get a couple of stops on what they do best, and put them out of rhythm and that’s what we did. As the offense goes, Cedrick Bailey goes. He’s our catalyst.”
