American Red Cross Broward County Chapter will host its annual “Dine & Dock VIP Celebrity Auction and 2016 Humanitarian Awards.”
The event will begin at 5:30 p.m. Sept. 21 at Hyatt Regency Pier Sixty-Six, 2301 SE 17th St., Fort Lauderdale.
All proceeds will assist the humanitarian organization in responding to local disasters ranging from home fires that affect a single family to hurricanes that affect thousands. The Red Cross provides shelter, food and comfort to assist families and entire communities in times of need.
The night begins with a VIP yacht reception at 5:30 p.m. in the marina. Guests will watch the sunset and enjoy libations while mingling with VIP celebrities and CEOs who have agreed to auction off personal experiences later in the evening. At 6:30 p.m., guests will attend the welcome reception on the patio, overlooking the Intracoastal Waterway.
Afterward, they will make their way into the Panorama Room for a lounge experience that includes food stations and an open bar. The highlight of the evening will be honoring local humanitarians, followed by the high-energy VIP celebrity auction.
Those receiving the 2016 humanitarian awards are Bob and Susan Drinon, David and Sunshine Briskie, and Debbie Banks-Snyder.
Among the celebrities up for auction are ex-college football coach Howard Schnellenberger; restaurateur Chef Louie Bossi; Captain Lee Rosbach, of BRAVO Network’s “Below Deck” series; WPLG anchor/reporter Kristi Krueger; WPLG meteorologist Trent Aric; Brendan Courtney, CEO of Parallon Workforce; Michael Beedles, president of Sato Global Solutions; and Danielle J. Butler, co-founder and managing partner of the Luxury Law Group.
